With reference to my confidential

despatch of the 3rd of March, 1930, on the

subject of the Trade Loan, I have the honour

to inform Your Lordship that notice has been

given to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking

Corporation in Hong Kong for a further repayment

of £40,000 on the 11th of April, 1930, thus

reducing this Government's sterling liability to

£140,000.
